Thank you for choosing Tails of the City Dog Salon for your pet beautifying needs! We are honored to serve both you and your pet, and understand the importance of handling your fur-babies with care and safety first.

The following is a list of our policies and the responsibilities that we accept on your pet’s behalf. Also included is information we would like you to be aware of to ensure your pet’s visit is successful, as is the time at home after the appointment. We believe in humanity over vanity whenever a choice must be made between the two.

 

Please Note: Our cancellation policy requires a minimum 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment to avoid the $25 missed appointment fee per pet. This policy is being strictly enforced at this time due to lack of appointment availability because we have a very limited staff. Please call the salon at 707-446-7220 if you need to cancel or reschedule. Thank you!

 

Here are the rest of our policies for your review. By bringing your pet(s) in you are agreeing to these terms for service and that you understand the following:

 

Our philosophy is to offer a stress free grooming experience for your dog. We give special consideration to older pets and pets with special needs. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our first priority. We will not perform any grooming procedure that causes pain or a level of stress that we think is excessive. This includes but not limited to, nail buffing and excessive brushing/de-matting.

1. Self Employed Groomers: I understand that Tails of the City Dog Salon(TOTC) utilizes the services of self employed, independent third party groomers who are licensed and properly insured, and I agree to have my pet serviced by them. I understand these groomers are synonymous with TOTC, abiding by these same policies and afforded the same protections.  I understand my groomer  will assume full responsibility for the visit outcome and my pet, and I will resolve any issues or dissatisfaction directly with them, including any repairs I may seek.

2. My Pet’s Health: I understand that I must advise TOTC if my pet is not fit, healthy, and free of any contagious diseases and pests; of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions prior to the service being started. This includes, but is not limited to, prior surgeries, hip or joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections, skin problems, and fleas. 

3. Flea Policy: I understand that if my pet has fleas or other pests my pet will be administered the necessary flea treatments and I will be charged accordingly for them. 

4. Vaccination Policy: I understand the only vaccination required by TOTC is Rabies, to comply with local laws and ordinances. All other vaccinations are recommended for your pet’s safety and continued good health, to avoid possible contraction of any airborne or communicable diseases that may be present without our knowledge.

5. Matting Policy and Advisement: I understand that any excessive matting will be either brushed out if possible or shaved off for a fee which shall be presented to me as soon as TOTC is aware of the total. I understand that extreme matting can cause numerous health conditions including itching, irritation, and skin infections. Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, cuts or abrasions known as razor burn. Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin allowing fungus or bacteria to grow causing skin irritations that exist prior to the grooming process   Tails of the City Dog Salon is not responsible for any preexisting conditions due to, or reactions of shaving a matted coat or any medical costs that may arise for after care.

6.  Elderly or Medically Compromised Pet Policy: I understand if my pet is elderly or extremely anxious or medically compromised, to minimize stress, TOTC will automatically add on the Zoom Groom service at its additional fee of $20, and groom your pet all the way through starting at the time of drop off. If my pet is aggressive and may need extra efforts and time to coax through the grooming process,TOTC reserves the right to use a muzzle on my pet for safety purposes, and there will be special handling fees. Tails of the City Dog Salon also reserves the right to refuse service to any person or pet we cannot successfully groom safely.

7. No Show/Late Cancellation Fee: I understand that No Shows and cancellations with less than 24 hour notice will be charged a $25.00 no show fee per dog which must be paid before the next appointment can be scheduled. After 2 no shows, all future appointments must be prepaid before any service will be given. 

8. Late Pick-up and After Hours Fees: I understand that I will be notified when my pet is finished and I have 30 minutes to pick up my pet. Pets that are not picked up within this time frame may be charged $5 for every 30 minutes that they are left in the salon during the groomer’s shift, or at $1/min if mine is the last dog of the day. I understand TOTC operates on a “by appointment only" schedule and does not have standard hours, as the groomers are self employed and make their own schedules.

9. Media Waiver and Promotional Policy: I understand and agree that all photos/videos taken of my pet while at the facility are property of TOTC, and may be used in promotional material, including but not limited to print, video, and internet.I hereby waive any right to inspect or approve the finished photographs or electronic matter that may be used in conjunction with them now or in the future, whether that use is known to me or unknown, and I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the image. I also agree to receive promotional emails and texts messages, and understand I can opt out at any time by following the instructions or notifying the salon in writing.

10. Pricing and Payment Policy: I understand that payment for services will be made directly to my groomer in any of the forms that TOTC accepts. The price will be told to me at the time of drop off and should not change without notification during the visit, but may vary from visit to visit  based on condition, behavior and complexity of the groom.

 

Even though all of the groomers at TOTC are not employees. Each independent groomer shares the Tails of the City standards of grooming and care in exchange for the privilege of being referred the opportunity to service such precious clients such as yourself. We ask that you inform Salon Management if you feel these standards are not being kept or met at contact@tailsofthecitydogsalon.com or by letting us know in the review. All issues will still need to be addressed and resolved by the groomer regarding regrooms or refunds or repairs, but Salon Management cares deeply that our groomers are representing the TOTC name in a professional and conscientious manner.

PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE FOLLOWING RELEASE FORM INTO A REPLY EMAIL WITH A STATEMENT THAT YOU AGREE AND THIS EMAIL SERVES AS YOUR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE.

I understand and do agree to the above terms for the grooming and maintenance of my pet(s) and in consideration of the grooming services of Tails of the City Dog Salon, hold its owners, operators, employees, officers and directors harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet, either known or unknown to Tails of the City Dog Salon. It is also understood and agreed that the terms of this agreement can change at any time, without notice and will overwrite any and all prior signed contracts or releases. It is further understood this clause applies to any and all pets groomed for any all appointments. I authorize Tails of the City Dog Salon to act as my agent in the event of emergency veterinarian services, and seek care-taking as necessary at a veterinarian of their choosing, and I agree to pay all costs.

Gracias por elegir Tails of the City Dog Salon para las necesidades de embellecimiento de su mascota. Nos sentimos honrados de servirles tanto a usted como a su mascota, y entendemos la importancia de manejar a sus 'bebés de pelo' con cuidado y anteponiendo la seguridad.

 

A continuación, se presenta una lista de nuestras políticas y las responsabilidades que aceptamos en nombre de su mascota. Aquí están el resto de nuestras políticas para su revisión. Al traer a su(s) mascota(s), usted acepta estos términos de servicio y entiende lo siguiente:

 

Nuestra filosofía es ofrecer una experiencia de aseo libre de estrés para su perro. Tenemos una consideración especial por las mascotas mayores y las mascotas con necesidades especiales. La seguridad y comodidad de su mascota son nuestra primera prioridad. No realizaremos ningún procedimiento de aseo que cause dolor o un nivel de estrés que consideremos excesivo. Esto incluye, pero no se limita a, el pulido de uñas y el cepillado/desenredado excesivo.

1. Peluqueros Autónomos: Entiendo que Tails of the City Dog Salon (TOTC) utiliza los servicios de peluqueros autónomos, terceros independientes que tienen licencia y están debidamente asegurados, y acepto que mi mascota sea atendida por ellos. Entiendo que estos peluqueros son sinónimos de TOTC, acatando estas mismas políticas y gozando de las mismas protecciones. Entiendo que mi peluquero asumirá toda la responsabilidad por el resultado de la visita y mi mascota, y resolveré cualquier problema o insatisfacción directamente con ellos, incluyendo cualquier reparación que pueda buscar.

2. La Salud de Mi Mascota: Entiendo que debo informar a TOTC si mi mascota no está en forma, saludable y libre de cualquier enfermedad contagiosa y plagas; de cualquier problema médico, físico, emocional, alergias, sensibilidades o condiciones preexistentes antes de que comience el servicio. Esto incluye, pero no se limita a, cirugías previas, problemas de cadera o articulaciones, verrugas, lunares, infecciones de oído, problemas de piel y pulgas.

3. Política de Pulgas: Entiendo que si mi mascota tiene pulgas u otras plagas, se le administrarán los tratamientos necesarios contra pulgas y se me cobrarán en consecuencia.

4. Política de Vacunación: Entiendo que la única vacuna requerida por TOTC es la Rabia, para cumplir con las leyes y ordenanzas locales. Todas las demás vacunas se recomiendan para la seguridad y la buena salud continua de su mascota, para evitar la posible contracción de cualquier enfermedad transmitida por el aire o contagiosa que pueda estar presente sin nuestro conocimiento.

5. Política y Advertencia de Nudos: Entiendo que cualquier nudo excesivo será cepillado si es posible o afeitado por una tarifa que se me presentará tan pronto como TOTC esté al tanto del total. Entiendo que el anudamiento extremo puede causar numerosos problemas de salud, como picazón, irritación e infecciones de la piel. Quitar un pelaje muy anudado incluye riesgos de rasguños, cortes o abrasiones conocidos como quemaduras de cuchilla. El anudamiento fuerte también puede atrapar la humedad cerca de la piel de la mascota, permitiendo que crezcan hongos o bacterias, causando irritaciones cutáneas que existían antes del proceso de aseo. Tails of the City Dog Salon no es responsable de ninguna condición preexistente debido a, o reacciones al afeitado de un pelaje anudado o cualquier costo médico que pueda surgir para la atención posterior.

6. Política de Mascotas Mayores o con Problemas Médicos: Entiendo que si mi mascota es mayor o extremadamente ansiosa o tiene problemas médicos, para minimizar el estrés, TOTC agregará automáticamente el servicio Zoom Groom con una tarifa adicional de $20, y aseará a su mascota de principio a fin comenzando a la hora de la entrega. Si mi mascota es agresiva y puede necesitar esfuerzos y tiempo adicionales para persuadirla durante el proceso de aseo, TOTC se reserva el derecho de usar un bozal en mi mascota por razones de seguridad, y habrá tarifas especiales de manejo. Tails of the City Dog Salon también se reserva el derecho de rechazar el servicio a cualquier persona o mascota que no podamos asear con éxito de manera segura.

7. Tarifa por No Presentarse/Cancelación Tarde: Entiendo que por no presentarse y las cancelaciones con menos de 24 horas de aviso se cobrará una tarifa de $25.00 por perro, que debe pagarse antes de poder programar la próxima cita. Después de 2 ausencias sin aviso, todas las citas futuras deben pagarse por adelantado antes de que se brinde cualquier servicio.

8. Tarifas por Recogida Tarde y Fuera de Horario: Entiendo que se me notificará cuando mi mascota haya terminado y tengo 30 minutos para recoger a mi mascota. A las mascotas que no se recojan dentro de este plazo se les puede cobrar $5 por cada 30 minutos que se dejen en el salón durante el turno del peluquero, o $1/min si el mío es el último perro del día. Entiendo que TOTC opera bajo un horario "solo con cita previa" y no tiene horarios estándar, ya que los peluqueros son autónomos y hacen sus propios horarios.

9. Descargo de Responsabilidad de Medios y Política Promocional: Entiendo y acepto que todas las fotos/videos tomados de mi mascota mientras están en las instalaciones son propiedad de TOTC, y pueden usarse en material promocional, incluyendo, pero no limitado a, impresos, videos e internet. Por la presente, renuncio a cualquier derecho a inspeccionar o aprobar las fotografías terminadas o el material electrónico que pueda usarse en conjunto con ellas ahora o en el futuro, ya sea que ese uso sea conocido por mí o desconocido, y renuncio a cualquier derecho a regalías u otra compensación derivada o relacionada con el uso de la imagen. También acepto recibir correos electrónicos promocionales y mensajes de texto, y entiendo que puedo optar por no participar en cualquier momento siguiendo las instrucciones o notificando al salón por escrito.

10. Política de Precios y Pago: Entiendo que el pago por los servicios se realizará directamente a mi peluquero en cualquiera de las formas que TOTC acepte. El precio se me informará en el momento de la entrega y no debe cambiar sin notificación durante la visita, pero puede variar de una visita a otra según la condición, el comportamiento y la complejidad del aseo.

Aunque todos los peluqueros en TOTC no son empleados. Cada peluquero independiente ha acordado adherirse a los estándares de aseo y cuidado de Tails of the City a cambio del privilegio de ser referido a la oportunidad de servir a clientes tan preciosos como usted. Le pedimos que informe a la Gerencia del Salón si siente que estos estándares no se mantienen o no se cumplen en contact@tailsofthecitydogsalon.com o haciéndonos saber en la reseña. Todos los problemas deberán abordarse y resolverse con el peluquero con respecto a nuevos arreglos, reembolsos o reparaciones, pero a la Gerencia del Salón le importa profundamente que nuestros peluqueros representen el nombre de TOTC de una manera profesional y consciente.

 

POR FAVOR, COPIE Y PEGUE EL SIGUIENTE FORMULARIO DE DESCARGO EN UN CORREO ELECTRÓNICO DE RESPUESTA CON UNA DECLARACIÓN DE QUE ESTÁ DE ACUERDO Y ESTE CORREO ELECTRÓNICO SIRVE COMO SU FIRMA ELECTRÓNICA.

 

Entiendo y estoy de acuerdo con los términos anteriores para el aseo y mantenimiento de mi(s) mascota(s) y, en consideración de los servicios de aseo de Tails of the City Dog Salon, eximo a sus propietarios, operadores, empleados, funcionarios y directores de responsabilidad por cualquier daño, pérdida o reclamo que surja de cualquier condición de la mascota firmante, conocida o desconocida para Tails of the City Dog Salon. También se entiende y se acepta que los términos de este acuerdo pueden cambiar en cualquier momento, sin previo aviso y anularán todos y cada uno de los contratos o liberaciones firmados previamente. Se entiende además que esta cláusula se aplica a todas y cada una de las mascotas acicaladas para todas y cada una de las citas. Autorizo a Tails of the City Dog Salon a actuar como mi agente en caso de servicios veterinarios de emergencia, y a buscar la atención necesaria en un veterinario de su elección, y acepto pagar todos los costos.
